Hay Raking
2019‘s hay raking tasks, led by TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) took place on the following dates:
Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th, Wednesday 31st July
Thursday 1st, Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th August 2019.
TCV volunteers will be in the eastern part of the Cemetery from 10.15am and you should be able to spot their van and the volunteers in blue sweatshirts, using long wooden rakes.
If you’re planning to come along, please can you let us know if possible so they can put extra rakes in the van.
Raking up and removing cut grass will help to encourage wildflowers by reducing fertility and reducing the growth of coarser grasses. The work is fun and cups of tea will be provided.

Tuesday 18th, Thursday 20th September
Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th , Thursday 27th September
